Lite Meals!

My entries for MBP “Going Lite”

I almost raided Kalyn’s blog this month. Her blog is the best example to lead a healthy living.

I tried out this awesomely delicious Garlic-Asparagus salad. The mild garlicky flavour with crunchy grilled asparagus!!!

 

 

 

 

There are plenty of blogs featuring this very delicious salad of contrasting flavours…….. mildly sweet, cool, crunchy watermelon and strong tartaric feta cheese!  I was in love with this combination. There are a few variations to this with the addition of olives and onions, but I am totally hooked on to these two flavours!

 

 

Mushrooms are considered to be a diet gem. They are great for a low carb diet!! Ever since Seema posted Mushroom soup, I have been making it once atleast every two weeks.  No cream!! But low fat milk in it instead!

 

 

 

 

A very lite and full of flavours is this very lite meals of oats! Sra was surely clearing her pantry, but in that she came up with a wonderfully lite meal. I for sure had to try that!  Its great for brunch or as a lite lunch/dinner.

 

 

 

 

Chuck the potatoes (not completely) for mushroom (again!) and make your burger patty with it.  And who better than Nandita to give this very clever idea.  I went a step further and used my lite whole meal bread instead of burger buns.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Richa had this post which she claims to be for the love of heart .  And when its for the heart, it surely is healthy…….. and very delicious too!  I used butternut squash for the first time in my kitchen and it was a sure hit with us!
