When I heard about Nandita’s theme for WBB #7, this muffin came to my mind instantly. I have been longing to make bake this since quite some time, and hence didn’t have any excuses now. I don’t remember the real source of this recipe but it was in my cook book since a long long time (I used to maintain this cookbook long before I got married – having recipes from cookery shows, or friends and yes of course, my moms recipes. 🙂 )

This recipe is actually of a banana bread but I made muffins out of it (they bake faster than the bread 😛 ). Since it’s just two of us who were gonna eat this, I halved all the ingredients and it made 6 large muffins.

Sweet corn soup…

When cold frigid winds sweep the land people will go to any effort to stay warm, and a hot pot of soup is a delicious, and hearty way to help keep the cold at bay. Nothing warms us as a steaming bowl of soup when cold winter weather frosts our toes and noses.

This spicy version of sweet corn soup is guaranteed to clear your sinuses on a cold winters day. 🙂

Though its not at all cold over here in Singapore since I am nicely enjoying the warmth (accompanied with humidity) of 28*C this goes to all of you who are residing in the cold regions. 🙂

Jhatpat Aloo Paratha

Ever tried making aloo paratha this way??? It’s fast and simple, especially for someone like me who hates rolling parathas and chapatis, let alone stuffing it with something. 🙂
